Healthcare is a core application for Pyxalis, in line with our core values. Since 2010, Pyxalis has been involved in the development of numerous medical applications, ranging from Mammography, dental imaging, heart surgery and endoscopic imaging. Pyxalis has indeed very unique skills in designing and manufacturing large scale, high yield, CMOS image sensor with a record-setting product at 20×20 cm Xray image sensor in one single die, the largest ever made on 12” wafers. Pyxalis competence in Xray extend beyond image quality with on-chip solution that help medical imaging companies to lower their bill of material, with integrated image correction, smart sequencing or even processors on-chip.

Pyxalis is supplier for some of top 5 medical equipment makers in the field of dental imaging, endoscopic application and Mammography.

One of our 3 main values is People Safety and in addition to develop and sell image sensors for industrial and transportation monitoring and security, we have clearly been successfull in defense sector accumulating valuable experience there.

Pyxalis serves the most strategic applications with custom and standard solutions. Pyxalis sensors are particularly good for night vision applications with high sensitivity, global shutter and extreme low noise solutions thanks to unique pixel designs and circuits like on-chip CMS for extraordinary low detection floors.

We spend a lot of time and effort working with end users and developers of military imaging products to make sure our sensors feature what they need. As such we have developed sensors for ultra low light applications, effortless image fusion, high frame rate and reliable data transmission that build trust in the imaging pipeline. Our sensors developped for defense have been used in Air and Space application, but also vehicle mounted systems, night vision googles, robotics and many more.

Pyxalis relies solely on european sovereign supply chain for those developments.

Pyxalis offers custom and standard sensors that are currently used for environmental monitoring, agriculture and green technologies. In particular, Pyxalis has develop through the years a unique compence in NIR sensitivity, particularly useful for plant health monitoring, available in very small package, compatible with the lighter drone payloads available. Pyxalis is also offering very advanced hyper-spectral ready sensors particular useful in environmental applications and food sorting.

Environmentally friendly applications are very important to Pyxalis and part of our core values. As such, Pyxalis participates in multiple reasearch programs with industries and institutes. We have developed for instance a custom, unique, particulate matter pollution detector that has been demonstrated down to PM1 (1um particulate matter diameter), that will help in the future to monitor city air-pollution for instance, with tremendous benetifs to people health. Thanks to unique partnerships in high volume production, Pyxalis is able to address successfully consumer imaging, with standards and custom products. For exemple, Pyxalis has supplied custom detectors for gaming industry with very large volume of products and we have designed a family of sensor dedicated to high end Photography, from full-frame 35mm sensor to medium format. This sensor offers unique features such as high sensitivity in BSI and high frame rate for video application, making it particularly suitable for cinematography.
